Ocian!

Hey, everybody! This week was quite the adventure for me! This was my first week here in Ocian, Praia Grande! And it was a great week. Sister Sanders is fantastic! She is always super happy and energetic! We have about the same amount of time in the mission, so it´s a little different. But the good thing is we both understand just about everything now, so that´s a relief. 

This area is also on the beach. Really almost my entire mission is on the beach, but yeah. It´s a little bigger than my other area, and we don´t live in our area, so we´re walking a lot. But it´s good to walk a lot because we have more time to contact people on the streets. The ward is the biggest in the whole mission, and the members are really strong too. This ward will probably split here soon, and we´re trying to help that happen.

I got to know a lot of new people here. We´re not teaching a whole lot of people at the moment, but those that we are teaching are golden! We´re teaching Luiz, and he is amazing. He has 19 years, and he learns really fast. He is living with his cousin who is a member, so he has a lot of support already. He is going to be baptized next Friday, so that´s exciting! We´re also teaching Léa. She has a lot of faith already, and really just needed somewhere to put her faith. She´s the type of person that likes to show her gratitude through food. That´s really common here in this part of Brazil. But this week was awesome, and I learned a lot, and I´ll have more things to share next week.
