Isabelle

Hello everybody! This week was full of miracles. The most important of which was   Isabelle was Baptized!!!!!!  Isabelle is 10 years old and super shy and super cute. Her mom and brother were already members of the church, but stopped coming for a time. But, they wanted to come back so we started to visit and help them. We ended up helping Isabelle be baptized too! We had some difficulties, but all turned out well and she was baptized! After she was baptized, she said that she was really happy, and that was really sweet.

This week, we also had zone conference! It was amazingly spirit filled. I learned a lot. It was a the motivation I needed to keep working and serving the people here in Brazil.

I love you all!

Meu Chileno favorito!

Hector´s baptism!!!

Divisões with Sister Ellsworth

The Beach

My District

Hello everybody! Sorry I didn´t manage to send an email for you all last week. But these past two weeks have been really good. The most important thing is that Hector got baptized!!!! Woohoo!!!!! He is a sweet funny older gentleman from Chile. He is friends with a member family and they invited him to come to church a few weeks ago, and he felt that realmente this is the church of Jesus Christ. It was really beautiful to see him baptized. He is so sincere in his desire to follow the Savior, and even though he´s going through a big challenge in his life, he has faith that it will all sort out one way or another. I have learned a lot from him. Probably more than he has learned from us.

This past week we worked a lot with our recent converts to help them continue in their faith, and they are helping us teach now too! In a lesson we taught, the lady asked Giovanni who taught him about the gospel, and he pointed to me, and I had a proud mom moment. But enfim. It was a week of little miracles. Love you all.

Tchau tchau!

Conferência Geral!!!!

This weekend was amazing!!!! I don't know about you guys, but I learned a lot from the spirit. I loved it. Really it was a testimony builder for me that the prophet and the apostles are really called of God. I loved the themes of a Christ-centered home, repentance, and missionary work. The amazing thing is these topics apply for everyone. Not just parents, or missionaries, or a select group of people, but all of us.

Other than conference, it was an interesting week. Sister Lopez and I are learning a lot from one another. We visited a neighborhood in our area that no missionaries have entered for a long time, and started to teach people there. We should have a baptism this week (Hector!!!!!), and we also need to find a new apartment or house within the next few days. I don´t really know how we´re going to do that, but it´ll work out. This area is really flourishing. Our ward is the biggest in the entire mission and is growing faster than any other that I know of. But it will split here soon. We´re working to help the ward split, and we´re thinking that it could happen this transfer! Woohoo!

I love all you guys!

Just another week in Brasil

Missionárias de ala Ocian

Churros!

Transfers!!!

I am still in Ocian, but Sister Sanders left for Itanhaem. My new companion is Sister Lopez. She's from Bolivia, and we´re already getting along really well. We have the same amount of time in the mission, and it should be fun. We have a lot of people we´re teaching that could use another testimony, and another invitation, so it´ll be great.

I am super excited for Conferência Geral this weekend. Make sure that you´re all there to watch it, and don´t be afraid to talk about it with your friends. Really, it´s not every day that you get to hear the Prophet of God. And sadly, there are a lot of people in this world that don´t know that they will have this opportunity this weekend.

One thing that I learned this last transfer is that the work that I do doesn´t produce results. The results that come--baptisms, testimonies, blessings, and everything else--come because of Jesus Christ. We just have the opportunity to grow and learn through the experience. Really the Lord doesn´t need me, but He has given me the wonderful opportunity to grow through this service.

I love you all and pray for you. Até próxima semana!!!
