Hello,
everybody! I hope that you are well and are enjoying the slightly warmer
weather. This week was an eventful one. Another set of missionaries invited a
rapaz named Giovanni to go to church the next Sunday, and amazingly, he
actually went. Two weeks ago yesterday, we started to teach him, and he was
very open with us. We taught the Book of Mormon and he accepted the invitation
to be baptized. However, he would travel to São Paulo for a few week on the
19th of March. We didn´t know if he would be ready to be baptized in only 2
weeks, but we learned that there really are people who are already ready. He
only needed to hear the truth, and on Saturday he was baptized. It was amazing
to be a part of it, de verdade. You´d
think that he would need more time to really gain a testimony, but because he
was sincere and really just wanted to follow the Savior, he gained his own
testimony. Sadly, I still can´t send pictures but it was a really nice
service.
In other news, Sister
Sanders had her birthday last Monday, and we celebrated with pastels and calda
de cana and cake and cookies, and it was awesome. We also had a Family Home
Evening with a family that we´re teaching, and we talked about the importance
of the Book of Mormon. It was really good. But yeah. That´s about all for this
week. But I´m glad to be here. This area is amazing and the people are even
better.
